Here are some conversations and interviews that caught our attention during the week ending April 15, 2011.
Our suggestions this week:
- Krista Tippett, host of American Public Media’s On Being had a great interview this past Sunday titled Alive Enough. Her guest for the hour long show was Sherry Turkle, author of Alone Together. You can hear this great conversation by clicking here.
- I discovered a new podcast this week called The Promise Land. Hosted by Majora Carter, the episode last week featured a conversation/story with Nat Turner. Turner transformed an old store in New Orleans’ Lower Ninth Ward into an urban Eden. Blair Grocery is now both a nontraditional school and an urban farm run by youth who’ve dropped out of mainstream education. You can hear this great episode by clicking here.

We took a week long hiatus and dipped into the archives for this week’s episode. We revisited one of my favorite episode – our conversation with BNSF train conductor Mark Mohr.
