For an entire nation, the date of September 11, 2001, will be known as the day the world changed. All of us, in one way or another, were affected by the events of that day.
We wanted to mark the anniversary of this day by bringing you a conversation with someone who was there that day. Our guest, T.J. Mannix has lived in New York City for more than 15 years and on the morning of 9/11/2001 – like all of us were – was shocked to see what was happening in his back yard.
Like many New Yorkers did, T.J. could not stay home and watch – he went to Ground Zero and put to work the training he had received from the Red Cross during his teenage years.

About T.J.Mannix
T.J. Mannix is an actor, singer, comedian, and voiceover artist in NYC. He was born in Massapequa, Long Island and raised in Boca Raton, Florida. T.J. studied broadcast journalism at the University of Miami, Florida, and went on to live in 13 countries and 46 states. He left the corporate world to briefly get this acting thing out of his system – 15 years later he is still making a living as an actor and acting teacher.
He recently returned from four months of performing with the Second City, and is about to step into a pair of legendary boots in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular.
